My name is Katrina D’Alesio. I am a first year student in the graphic Design program. Having worked in management hospitality for many years, I feel my role as the Media Interdisciplinary studies Director will be an asset for both the students and Hamilton community. During my role as Restaurant manager in Oakville, I was put in charge of co-ordinating a very successful annual Bronte’s Canada day for Taste Marketeria. In my spare time I enjoy participating in all forms of art; sketching, digital art, and music. With these interests, having me as your Director on the MSA board will help keep everyone’s best interests at hand. I am running for student Government to help new and old students build relationships with potential careers, and have a further understanding of the opportunities they have after school. Let me be the voice for all you talented artists at Mohawk college!

My name is Meghann Farraway, and I’m a first year Graphic Design student at Mohawk. I went to work right after high school. I’ve worked in retail, I’ve worked in food, and in a call center full time. I have quite a few hobbies: I write, I draw, I sing, and I cook. I also love playing strategy/survival games on my PS4 and reading a good book. I want to run because I believe I have the skills necessary from being a volunteer Media Director at another organization and I’m excited to contribute to Mohawk as a whole. As part of the Graphic Design program. I feel I can listen to students and hear where they’re coming from, more than the average representative. One thing I would like to see change is students don’t feel fully informed. I want to listen and take action.

The Media & Interdisciplinary Director represents the students in the School of Media & Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies and is their voice on the MSA board. They are also responsible for managing the school rep system within all Media & Interdisciplinary programs.
